The rain held off and we were able to celebrate our Seastars with our end of year banquet on Sunday August 4th.  We were treated to some great food from Sportsmans Grille and delicious Seastar family potluck dishes.  Unfortunately the thunder made an appearance at the end of the banquet and we didn't get any swim time in.  There's always next year Seastars!  Thank you to our end of year banquet organizers and Seastar families for all your preperations, donations and participation!

Season Wrap Up

We ended the season with a 2 win and 3 loss record in Division 2 of VPSU. 

This year we moved up to Division 2 in VPSU.  We had some larger teams to compete with and we came away with 2 wins!  Although it did try to change our plans a few times, the weather cooperated and we were able to swim all our meets on schedule.  We had a lot of great swims this year and some really fun relay events!  

To Our Seastar Parents

For those parents who weren't able to join us for the banquet.  Thank you!  Our swim season would not be possible without the help of our Seastar parents!  From working spots at home and away meets, events like the car wash and spirit nights, and donating items for donuts and the pancake breakfast you have made this year so much fun for the kids.  Thank you for helping to make the 2024 summer swim season a success!

Champs Meet

The Champs Meet was held at the 757swim pool on Saturday, August 3rd. We had 30 Seastars swim at the meet and our team came in 9th out of all 18 VPSU swim teams. There were a lot of great swims, improved times and exciting races!

We had 8 Seastar swimmers finish in the top 10 in one or more of their events!  Way to go Skyler Austin, Alivia Ballin, Christian Ballin, Ryan Kurowski, Isaac Laufer, Gavin Montgomery, Kayla Moose and Sean Thomas.

Seastar Items

There are still some ribbons and awards from the year that need handed out.  Watch your email in the next few days to see if there may be something for your swimmer that will be dropped off.

We hope that all of our Seastar swimmers and parents have a great rest of the summer. School is just around the corner and we hope you all have a happy and safe year.  We hope to see you all at the pool next summer!
