Hello Seastar Families!

We had a great meet on Monday with Queens Lake.  The final score was Queens Lake 303 to 184 for the Seastars.  Although the score wasn’t what we hoped, we had some really great swims, quite a few first place finishes, and possibly the loudest relay cheering of the season.

Thank you to all of our parent volunteers who worked shifts at the meet.  Swimming really is an all hands on deck sport.  We really couldn’t successfully run our meets without your help.  We appreciate all that you do!

Next Meet: July 1, 2024

Our next meet is an away meet on July 1st.  We’ll be swimming against the Williamsburg Community Pool - Manta Rays.  The address is 1228 Richmond Rd B, Williamsburg, VA 23185. Seastar warm ups will be at 5:30pm and the meet begins at 6:00pm.  

There will be a full concessions menu and Sal’s pizza available.  They did not share what forms of payment they accept.  Please park in spots marked for pool use or in midtown row.  Do not park in spots marked for resident use.  Don't forget our theme for the meet is  Red, White and Blue!  

Donuts at Practice Tuesday July, 2nd

On Tuesday the kids were treated to donuts and juice at practice.  Capture the flag was a hit with the early practice.  The later practices played a few rounds of “Hungry Hungry Seastar” in the pool.  It’s a great way to include some swimming motivation and have a fun practice for the kids.

Practice:  July 4th and 5th 

There is a change in practice times and groups for July 4th.   

8:00 - 9:00 am - 10 yo and under swimmers   

9:00 - 10:00 am - 11 yo and older swimmers 

There will be no practice on July 5th.
