Hello Seastar Families!  

Our first meet will be next Monday, June 17, 2024!  This is a home meet so we will swim at the Powhatan Secondary pool.  

We will send more information this weekend about the meet, but as a reminder, swimmers should be at the pool ready to warm up at 5:00pm and the meet will start at 6pm.  The theme of this meet is Glow Night - wear neon colors or anything that glows after dark.  Polar Snow will be set up in the parking lot and we'll have concessions in the garage.    

Declare your swimmer for the meet! 

Meet declaration and volunteering sign ups are now open on the SwimTopia website.  Each week the declarations will open on Tuesday morning for the following meet.  

Declaring your swimmer is simply letting the coaches know if they will be attending or not attending the meet.  ***This is important because coaches need to know who will be there, and who will not, when they enter swimmers for each event.***   Please declare your swimmer by Thursday evening each week!  This allows for our coaches to work on meet entries on Friday.  

To declare on the SwimTopia app: 

Open the app and scroll down to "UPCOMING." 

Click on the meet you want, this first one is - 2024 Kingsmill Sharks at Seastars.

Once on that meet you'll see your swimmer/s and a box that says "meet entry," that will take you the SwimTopia site. 

Once on the site you'll see your swimmer/s listed with an option to edit their meet status, choose "attending" or "not attending" for each swimmer. 

To declare on the website: 

Go to  https://psseastars.swimtopia.com/

Scroll down to next meet section on the right, and click the green "meet entry."  

Once on are on that page, you'll see your swimmer/s listed with an option to edit their meet status, choose "attending" or "not attending" for each swimmer. 

Volunteering at the meet

On the same page where you declare your swimmer/s there is also a meet volunteer sign up.  We ask that each family sign up for at least 1 volunteer position per meet.  Please reach out if you have any questions about the volunteer positions and what they entail.
