Hello Seastar Families!

We celebrated our Seastars with a banquet on Sunday, July 30th.  We got treated to some great food from Sportsmans Grille and yummy Seastar family potluck dishes.  We had a chance to get some parents involved in some relays at the pool.  It was a fun time and all the relays came away with a win!  Thank you to our end of year banquet organizers and Seastar families for all your donations and participation!

Season Wrap Up

We ended the season 5-0 and in 1st place in Division 3 of VPSU!  Way to go Seastars!

It was a great season!  The weather kept us up in the air a few times but we figured our schedule out in the end.  We had rescheduled meets, one meet that was rescheduled twice, a virtual meet, home meets and away meets.  This year we did it all!  One thing for certain is that we would not be able hold our meets or special events without the many parents who volunteer their time and help throughout the season!  Thank you for helping to make the summer swim season a success!

Champs Meet 

The Champs Meet was held at the 757 pool last Saturday. We had 27 Seastars swim at the meet and our team came in 13th out of all 18 VPSU swim teams.  There were a lot of great swims, improved times and exciting relay races! 

We had 11 Seastar swimmers finish in the top 10 in one or more of their events!  Way to go Christian Ballin, Oliver Cole, Silas Cole, Karina Long, Hannah McConky, Emma Montgomery, Gavin Montgomery, Isaac Stamper, Natalie Takach and Sean Thomas.

Congratulations to our Seastars who recorded new Seastar team records this year!

Emma Montgomery with a new girls 7-8, 25 Butterfly of 22.78.

Sean Thomas with new mens 15-18, 50 Freestyle of 24.31, 50 Backstroke of 27.83, and 50 Butterfly of 26.31.

Team Items

There are still some items from the year that need handed out, ribbons, awards and shirts.  Check your email in the next few days to see if there may be something for your swimmer that will be dropped off.  

We hope that all of our Seastar swimmers and parents have a happy rest of the summer.  School is just around the corner!  Have a happy and safe school year.  We hope to see you all at the pool next summer!
