Meet Wrap up 7/10

We had our meet last night with the Stonehouse Splash.  The Seastars came away with a win!  Seastars 328 points and Splash 135 points.  We had a lot of really great swims last night and some of our Seastars swam in their first meet!  Way to go!  Our triple winners were, James Austin, Skyler Austin, Alivia Ballin, Hailey Jacklin, Karina Long, Emma Montgomery, Sean Thomas, and Nathan White.  Congratulations!

Meet Behavior

We want our Seastars to have fun during our meets, we love the Seastar team spirit!  Unfortunately, last night there was a little too much spirit.  Let's have fun and remain respectful to the pool facilities, other team, and each other during meets.  

This morning, 2 hours of our time was spent cleaning up the pool area at Stonehouse because of paint spread around their pool deck and bathrooms.  Moving forward there will be no paint at meets, home or away.  If swimmers would like to decorate themselves for the meet, sharpies brought from home are a good option.  Please remind your swimmer that they are only to decorate people who approve of being written on.

Some reminders to discuss with swimmers,

• Only touch your personal belongings, going into other people’s bags without their permission is not ok.
• Remember to be respectful of the team and facility that is hosting us, as well as our own.  Let's not make a mess of bathrooms or leave garbage behind.
• Friendly competition is great, but we want to speak kindly to the swimmers on the other team(s).

Summer Awards, July 22, 2023

Remember to declare your swimmer for Summer Awards meet by Wednesday, July 12.  Late entries will not be accepted for this meet.

10 and under swimmers will swim in the morning session with warm ups beginning at 7:30am. 11 and above will swim in the afternoon with warm ups scheduled to begin at 12:00pm.

Practice schedule

We will continue our regular practice schedule through Friday, July 21st while preparing for the Summer Awards Meet.  Starting on July 24th, practice will be for those swimmers attending the Champs Meet the following weekend.

Next Meet July 17, 2023

Meet declaration and volunteer sign ups are open for our meet on July 17th. Please declare you swimmer as attending or not, by Thursday 7/13 at 5pm. This is our last dual meet of the season.

Pancake Breakfast

It’s that time of the season, our pancake breakfast will be held the morning of July 19th!  We will have pancakes available for the kids after their practices that morning.  Please use the link to sign up to donate supplies or your time for this event. It is one event the kids look forward to each year.
