**Monday 6/19 Meet at Village Green** 

Our meet Monday is an away meet with Village Green.  Warm ups will begin at 5:30pm.  The pool address is: 713 Village Green Pkwy, Newport News, VA 23602.  

There is on street parking and they have asked that we do not block any driveways in the neighborhood.  

Also, they plan to have a limited concessions menu (sandwiches, drinks) available at the meet so plan accordingly.  The theme for this meet is Hat Day, wear a sports team hat, silly hat, cowboy hat anything will do!  :)  Don't forget to bring your chairs, sunscreen. towels, goggles, bug spray, and anything else you usually take to the pool.

**Friday 6/16 meet has been rescheduled to Wednesday 6/21**

Thank you everyone for your patience with Friday and the weather.  Meet entry has reopened for the meet on Wednesday and if you need to switch your swimmer's declaration status please do so ASAP.  https://psseastars.swimtopia.com/      Parents please update your volunteer positions if needed.   Warm ups will begin at 5:00pm on Wednesday.    

**Swimmers Events**

This year we will be using timing sheets at meets.  This means that swimmers will not have a physical card that show's their event, heat and lane.  To help swimmers know what their events are, parents are asked to put the events on a swimmers arm/leg prior to the meet with a sharpie marker.  Attached are photos of the SwimTopia app screen and an example of how to write events.  Please see the examples below and reach out if you have any questions. 

Once the meet is merged with the other team, swimmers events will be visible in the SwimTopia app by clicking on the meet under the "upcoming events" section.  

The first picture is the SwimTopia app for my swimmers.  Emma is swimming Event 16, Heat 1, Lane 5. 

The second picture is the example from our coaches on how to write it out. 

For Emma: I’d put 50 Free 16 1 5 

For Aiden: I’d put 50 Free 19 1 5 

**Remind**

With weather changes and or any other important information, we will send out emails, update the Facebook page, and send out Remind messages. To join the swim team on Remind, text @powhatanse to 81010. Remind is a fast an easy way to get practice updates for the team straight to your phone.
