Hello Seastars!

Our first meet is this Friday, 6/16!  This is a home meet is against the Greensprings Gators.

Some information for the meet.

Warm-ups

Swimmers please arrive at the pool at 4:45pm. Our warm ups begin at 5:00pm.

The Seastars will warm up from 5:00-5:30pm with the younger swimmers going first.  The other team warm ups will be from 5:30-6:00pm and our meet will begin at 6:00pm.

What to bring

In General - goggles, at least 1 towel, sunscreen, snacks/water, money for concessions (food, drinks, candy), chairs, blanket, bug spray and anything else you usually like to have at the pool.

Swim Caps

Seastars swim caps will be distributed at the meet Friday night.

Neon/Glow Night

New this year we are having themes for meet nights.  This Friday the theme is Neon/Glow night!  Swimmers, if you have a neon shirt, hat, sunglasses or anything that’s bright, bring it to the meet!  Our next meet theme is Hat Night on Monday June 19th.  

Polar Snow

The Polar Snow truck will be at the meet this Friday night selling shaved ice!

Donut Tuesday

What comes after a meet? Donut Tuesday and relaxed swim practice!  Our first Donut Tuesday this year will be on, June, 20th.  Please see the sign up genius below to participate by bringing donuts, juice, or helping distribute donuts to the kids at the end of their practice on Tuesday.

With our first meet being on a Friday, we are combining the first 2 meets for Donut Tuesday.

Morning Practices

We move to morning practices on Friday June 16th.

7:45 - 8:30am - 8 and under

8:30 - 9:15am - 9 and 10 yr olds

9:15 - 10:15am - 11 and up

Monday Meet 6/19

We have away meet against the Village Green Patriots, in Newport News on 6/19.  To give our coaches time to prepare for the meet, please have your swimmers declared "Attending" or "Not Attending" on the SwimTopia site by the end of the day today, 6/14.  If you have any question about declaring swimmers please reach out to a board member.

6/19 - Hat night - wear a hat, a crazy hat, sports team hat, any hat will do

6/26 - Tropical night - wear a flower in your hair, Lei, anything tropical

7/3 - America night - get ready for July 4th and show your patriotic spirit

7/10 - Sports night - show us your favorite sport, team, or player

7/17 - Seastar Spirit night - Go Seastars! Show off your Seastar spirit
