Hello Seastars!

Blocks are in, lane lines are ready, flags are in place, the pool is set up for practices!  Practices begin Tuesday May 30th! We can’t wait to see all the Seastars in the pool!

We are keeping an eye on the weather and will let families know ASAP if we need to cancel practice.  We’ll send out an email to the team and also a Remind message.

Practice Times 2023

Afternoon practices - May 30 - June 15

4:15 - 5:00pm - ages 13 and up

5:00 - 5:30pm- ages 9 -10 yr olds

5:30 - 6:00pm - ages 8 and under

6:00 - 6:45pm - ages 11-12 yr olds

Morning practice times- Start June 16

7:45 - 8:30am - 8 and under

8:30 - 9:15am - 9 and 10 yr olds

9:15 - 10:15am - 11 and up

Seastar Merchandise 

May 30th is also the final day to order Seastar team merchandise.  This will be the only time we will have merchandise available to order this year so don’t miss the deadline!  Orders will be picked up and are scheduled to arrive for distribution by the first swim meet.

Time Trials

The morning of June 10th we are holding time trials at the pool. This will be a great way for our swimmers to get some experience with what swim meets will be like. We’re asking swimmers 8yo and under to swim freestyle and backstroke and swimmers 9yo and above to swim IM, Freestyle, and any other stokes they choose. Meet sign up will open for time trials on May 30th.  Swimmers will be able to declare for the meet and choose the strokes they'd like to swim at that time. Parents, we are in need of some volunteer positions for the morning.

Upcoming Swim Meet Themes

This year we thought it would be fun to have theme nights at swim meets.  Participation is not required, but if you would like to join in the fun, our themes this year are:

6/16 - Neon/Glow night - wear a neon shirt or some glow bracelets

6/19 - Hat night - wear a hat, a crazy hat, sports team hat, any hat will do

6/26 - Tropical night - wear a flower in your hair, Lei, anything tropical

7/3 - America night - get ready for July 4th and show your patriotic spirit

7/10 - Sports night - show us your favorite sport, team, or player

7/17 - Seastar Spirit night - Go Seastars, show off your Seastar spirit
