This e-mail contains a lot of information pertaining to the remaining two and a half weeks of the season. Hard to believe it is almost over, it always goes so fast!

Wednesday, 7/13

If you haven’t declared your swimmer for Monday’s meet, please do so ASAP so we can complete the meet line up.

Thursday, 7/14

Tomorrow is a spirit day fundraiser at Moe’s from 11am – 8pm. Please bring friends and let them know you are there to support the Seastars at checkout.

Summer Awards Entries are due by 6pm tomorrow (Thursday) as well. Please visit swimtopia to declare your swimmer if they are interested in competing. *See below for more details.

Monday, 7/18

This is our final regular meet of the season. It is team photo day, senior recognition day, and pizza party night! Please have your swimmers arrive at the pool by 4:30pm in their grey Seastar shirt. If you have not picked up your grey shirts, please contact a board member ASAP. Warmups will begin at 5pm and the meet will begin at 6pm. Pizza will be distributed to swimmers after the final relay of the meet and the pool will remain open till 10pm for swimmers to play.  There are still volunteer positions open, so please see if you can help for our last home meet.

Tuesday, 7/19

Tuesday is our last donut day! Thank you to all who have donated so far. If you have yet to donate, consider donating this time.

Saturday, 7/23

Summer Awards Meet at Kingswood Pool. I have added a link to declare to the main page to make it easier to find. Entries are due by 6pm Thursday (7/14). If you have a question regarding events your swimmer can swim, please contact a board member. Volunteer jobs during the meet are based on the number of swimmers we take to the meet. Typically, we are given one or two timer jobs that families share during the session their swimmer is completing. For further explanation, one or two adults would be asked to time for one stroke (for example John would time Free and Sally would time Breast, etc…) We are not required to fill all the normal positions we must in a regular meet.

Mon. 7/25 – Fri. 7/29 – Adjusted Practice Times (these practice times will be determined by the coaches once we see the number and ages of champs swimmers attending the champs swim meet). The times will be some time between 8 and 10am.

Saturday, 7/30

Sunday, 7/31

Awards Banquet from 5 – 8pm at the pool. This is a partial potluck style event at the pool. The swim team provides the main course, cake, and drinks. Other items will be donated through a sign-up genius. We will send the sign-up genius as we get closer to the event but mark your calendars now. We eat dinner, distribute trophies and paper plate awards, and swim! 

The Swim Team Board
