Hello Seastar Families, 

It was a little hot at the start, but the storms held off and we were able to get our Seastars in the water.  The Kingspoint Dolphins did end up first in points, but we have another chance to get a win on Monday against the Wellington Waves.  

Congratulations to our triple winner at the meet last night Sean Thomas!  

Thank you to our volunteers that helped this meet, we really could not have done it without you!

Party on The Lawn 

Party on the Lawn is tomorrow (7/8) evening from 6-9pm.  Come to the clubhouse to hear some music and hang out with friends.  The swim team will have the grill rocking and have concessions during the evening.  

Pancake Breakfast

Next week on Wednesday, July 13, the Seastars will have our pancake breakfast.  This is an event that the children (and parents) love!  Be on the look out for a sign up for donations as well as parent helpers during the event.  

7/11 Meet

Our next meet is on Monday, July 11, at the Wellington Waves.  This is an away meet.  The address of the pool is, 3927 Bournemouth Bend, Williamsburg VA 23188.  If you have not declared your swimmer(s) for this meet please do so ASAP. 

VPSU Summer Award Shirts

The deadline for Summer Awards shirts is this Sunday, July 10.  There will not be shirts for sale at the meet.  Please use the link below to order.

The Summer Awards meet this year is Saturday, July 23, at Kingswood pool. We will have more information as the meet gets closer.  See below for a brief explanation of the Summer Awards meet.  This is a great meet for the swimmers and one we highly recommend that they attend.    If you have any questions please let us know.

*Summer Awards is a Saturday meet (7/23) for swimmers who do not make a champs time during the regular season. The meet is run in two sessions (am and pm with age groups broken up - typically 25 meter swimmers in one session and 50m swimmers in the other). Swimmers can enter up to 3 individual events as long as they do not have a champs time in that event. For example, if John has a champs time in freestyle, he cannot swim free in the summer awards meet, but he could sign up for IM, breast, back, or fly.
