Good morning Seastars!  Here are some important dates to make sure you have on your calendar.

Monday, 5/31 (tomorrow) Swim Team Memorial Day Picnic 

(Open House 4 to 8pm)

The sun should be out and the grills will be set up for families to cook food.  Board members and coaches will be available and the merchandise will be there for everyone to see.  Coaches will be available from 5:30 to 6:30pm.  

Tuesday, 6/1 First Day of Practice

See swimtopia for practice times.  It should be warmer than today, but bring a sweatshirt since the water will be chilly.  Board members will be available to answer questions at each practice during the first week.  

Friday, 6/4 Band and Family Picnic put on by the Neighborhood Board 7 - 9pm

The swim team is selling hamburgers and hotdogs at this event on Friday.  We could use some help cooking and selling, look for a sign up to volunteer for a shift in a following e-mail.

Monday 6/14 New Family Meeting 6 to 6:30pm at the pavilion

New families are encouraged to attend this new family meeting at 6pm.  The board will be there with computers to help families understand swimtopia and how to register for meets.  We will also answer questions regarding volunteer positions during the meets and any other questions families have before the first swim meet.  

Monday 6/21 First Swim Meet 5pm at our pool

Warm ups begin at 5:00pm and the meet begins at 6pm.  Meets typically last till 9 or 9:30pm depending on opposing team size.  Smaller children who are done after backstroke may leave when they have completed their event.  (Make sure to check with the coach before leaving though.)

Wednesday 6/23 Adult Night at Billsburg Brewery at 5pm

This is an informal get together at Billsburg starting at 5pm.  We hope to see you there. (children are of course welcome and can play together on the grounds) 

We hope to see you and the sun tomorrow at the pool.
